thunder rumbling, castles crumbling

  It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I have been quite the busy bee lately. Sophomore year is just about as hectic as it can get. All our projects (by group, so it MUST be done in school), assignments, and tests have been smooshed into a last-minute-time-eating cake. I hope everything improves by the time 2nd term comes around (our end term exams are scheduled to start on my birthday. that is my life). 

   I think things are just about to get even more cray-cray (yes, Katy). In the last couple days, a viscious tropical storm, named Maring, came to visit.  School was cancelled for a week, so we're sure to be more pressed for time when it resumes.

  This storm was awful. I don't think I've ever experienced stronger rain, louder thunder, or more frightening lightning. During Ondoy, another tragic calamity, our house was flooded. Thankfully, this time, we were spared. Unfortunately, so many families were not as lucky, and are now in need of help. My school is currently facillitating relief good opperations (Animo Lasalle!). I think it's great, giving back to the community. 

  Holed up at home, as the storm raged on, I decided to take some time to add to my "experimental art" scrapbook/notebook. Basically, whenever I wanna try something new, I just pick a page and go crazy. It's not the most prestine thing, but I have fun.

watcher weekend & the white-washed wall

Last weekend, I holed up in bed (with my laptop) and was introduced to the wonders of "Sherlock" and "Doctor Who". Truly, these shows are just amazing. A friend strongly suggested "Sherlock" to me a couple of months ago (ehem.. 6 months), and "Doctor Who" (via a ton of awesome blogs) made me more than a little curious, so I gave them a go. 

Wow. best. decison. ever. 

If you have yet to see these series, you're definitely missing out.

   Somewhat productive, I found some time to do this little piece. The background picture doesn't have the best quality. This is because: 1. I am in no way a photographer and 2. it was taken by a mobile camera. I tried, hehe. Despite the sorry background, I actually think my candy-haired lady turned out quite nice.

for starters, school

 This post is about 4 months overdue. I intended to blog religiously during the summer, but hadn't anticipated how busy I would be.

  This year, for the first time in my life, I left Asia. My family spent about 3 weeks in Canada and a month and a half in the US. We reunited with a bunch of our relatives and made new friends. America was such a beautiful place. I really wish I could post pictures, but majority of the shots have people in them (my mom doesn't like inanimate objects on film), and I'm not sure they'd be comfortable with being on the internet.

  Currently, I'm already 2 months into the school year. Besides the exorbitant amount of homework, it's not too bad. Together with my friends, I've decided to become more active in the community. I'm already part of one organization, and last Friday, attended an interview for another. I really hope I get in!
